The strong and steady element of Earth represents, above all else, stability. We live our lives on the Earth planet and often don’t take its power into consideration until our foundations are challenged.

The Earth element is responsible for providing us with security and the ability to ground ourselves. Earth energy moves quite slowly, so it’s easy to take it for granted, but our Earth is a giant charging pad for us and it can offer so much power for us to channel from it if we merely connect with it. The easiest way to do this is through a process called “Earthing”, which simply asks us to stand barefoot on the ground and absorb power from the Earth.

Earth generates healing powers and it supplies resources. Earth offers us the energy of creation and rebirth, and it allows us to wield that power to manifest into the physical realm. We would not be here without these creative energies, nor would we ever be able to bring anything else into existence.

In the Craft, plants and dirt are often used to represent the Earth element in ritual practices, but there are a few other ways you can pay homage to the Earth element in your practices, such as salt, wood, a bowl of herbs, and certain types of crystals and candle colors.

You may wish to conjure the Earth element for any number of reasons, as its creative and life cycle energies can help you bring about powerful magick.
